Splashtown San Antonio has teamed up with the San Antonio Food Bank to Splash out Hunger! Why not support a good cause and have fun at a great price!?!
Donate 5 canned goods and get in for just $22.99 + tax. Donate 10 canned goods and you’ll get B1G1 FREE admission! General Admission at the gate is $32.99, so you’ll basically be paying $16.50 each for 2 tickets! This is definitely the cheapest price I’ve seen all season!
All ages were represented, from the young to the young at heart, as more than 2 dozen ladies were selected for each park. We cheered each other on as each of us took a turn on the Boogie Bahn. Everyone was so supportive and encouraging.
The Boogie Bahn has been around since I was a teen, but I’ve never had the courage to try it. After all these years I can finally say that I’ve tried it (I have the tattoo to prove it 😉 ) and I was actually decent at it (that’s me in the pic). It had me feeling like a kid again and wanting to come back for more. I’m hoping next time to maybe master a spin.
Have you heard that the Six Flags Fiesta Texas deal is back this summer at IHOP? For only $79.99 you’ll receive 4 tickets to Six Flags Fiesta Texas and a $40 IHOP gift card! That works out to just $10 per ticket, if you planned on eating at IHOP anyway.
Tickets are available (or will be soon) at participating IHOP locations, but they will be valid from 07/31/17 – 09/10/17 only. If your location doesn’t have them yet, be patient. The manager at my location will be going to a meeting on 07/12.
This is a limited time offer available while supplies last. When this deal was happening last year they were available at IHOP locations all over South Texas (see reader comments here).
While you wait until 07/31 to go to Six Flags, you can hop around town on the cheap with a Pogo Pass. Get admission to Splashtown, the SA Zoo, SA Aquarium, Incredible Pizza, Laser Legend, SA Stars games, University Bowl, and much more for just $39.98. Even better, see how you can get a PogoPass for just $31.98 through 07/26 only.
My favorite part is that I’M INVITED! The one thing I’ve been too chicken to do at Schlitterbahn all these years is ride the Boogie Bahn. Ok, there are really two things, but I’ll tackle the SkyCoaster another day. Really my fear of the Boogie Bahn is the embarrassment of not knowing what I’m doing, but if I’ve got the experts there to teach me I’m gonna learn. I can’t wait to see my girls (ages 11 and 13) try it out too.
If you want to get in on the fun you can email at social@schlitterbahn(dot)com and put I WANT TO SURF IN NEW BRAUNFELS as the subject. They will draw 2 dozen winners on 07/09, who will each be able to bring a guest. If you’re chosen you’ll learn to surf in the morning and then you can stay and play in the park all day for FREE. Here’s all you need to know about this event. I hope to see you there.

Background: Schlitterbahn New Braunfels was the site of the invention of inland surfing, and now the ride has expanded to locations – including cruise ships – around the world. Every week world Champions, Cathy and Morgan give lessons to aspiring surfers, but most are boys and young men. To attract more women to the sport, Schlitterbahn has declared July 12 as National Women Learn to Surf Day to encourage girls and women to take their turn on the world’s most perfect wave.
